BASF Enertite is a spray-applied water blown two-component product that includes a hardener (A-Side Component) and a resin (B-Side Component). Both components feed through a mobile reactor machine where the temperatures and pressures are precisely regulated. The they then travel along the length of a heated hose and meet at the tip of the spray gun to form a hot liquid which expands on contact with the substrate to form an inert open cell foam insulation. Enertite  dries, cures and hardens within 3-5 seconds. This product should always be installed by a trained applicator.
Enertite has a thermal conductivity (lambda value) of 0.039 W/m2k
We can calculate the u-value of any structure that uses Enertite spray insulation foam. All we need is the thickness of each layer through the structure and your target u-value.
In Europe Enertite is manufactured in BASF Alfreton which is located in Derbyshire.  It is also manufactured in BASF Rubi outside Barcelona and BASF Boxtel in the Netherlands. Enertite is marketed and distributed throughout Ireland and the UK by ECON Polyurethanes Ltd.
Enertite (open cell) spray foam insulation is 90 percent open-cell offering a lambda value of 0.039 W/m2k a vapour resistance of 16.5 MNs/gm making it an airtight, thermally efficient system and an ideal insulation solution where breathability (vapour permeability) is required. We do not recommend open cell foams for application to any substrate that is impermeable. This includes, profiled steel roof and wall cladding and non-breathable roofing felts. Our closed cell foam (Walltite) is 90 percent closed cell and offers a lower thermal conductivity of between 0.028 W/mk and 0.025 W/mk, depending on the thickness applied. Closed cell foam is also airtight and is less breathable than open cell systems making it suitable for application to non permeable substrates (metal, masonry).
Enertite combines a superior insulation value and near-zero air permeability in a single application to improve building durability, energy efficiency and occupant comfort, health and safety.

Mould requires three things to grow: moisture, warm temperatures and a food source. Polyurethane foam insulation has no nutritional value and is not considered a food source for mould. The use of polyurethane as insulation eliminates surface condensation and reduces the potential to accumulate moisture. It also eliminates air movement. Other insulations are less successful at controlling air infiltration and providing adequate insulation to eliminate surface condensation, thus increasing the possibility of an environment susceptible to mould development.
This is something were happy to do. Please contact us with you details.
Enertite does not emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and uses zero ozone depleting water blowing agent technology. Plastic building products, including polyurethane foam, use less energy from all sources than alternative products during production. Enertite produces less on-site wastage.
Enertite is NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland) Agrément certified for use in the Republic  of Ireland and holds BDA Agrément certificate for use in the United Kingdom. Enertite is CE marked.
Enertite is installed by a network of trained and accredited contractors a list of which can be provided by contacting us.
